    Page is Auto-streching

    Hello
    I am new to CSS and really trying to fix a problem. I have most of them done. But one major problem I have is the page streches. How do I keep the wording and everything from streching when someone resizes the window. I put a link to the page so you can see what I am talking about. Thank you.

    Add a width to the body in your CSS:
    Code:
    body {
     width: 750px;
     }
    But may I suggest not doing that? You've got a great start on a completely adjustible site that scales well when text resizes.

    Yeah, I rarely consider working effective fluidity in a layout a bug. heh. I consider it serendipity.

    On a related note, do something about that ugly banner image. Give me dimensions and I will make you a new banner just to have that gone.
    Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

    Images

    That would be great. If you are talking about the Grantcudas.us image, it is 640x143. If you are talking about the Barracudas image, it is 377x117. It would be great to see a better one. Thank you.

    Ok, I did the code you suggested. It did work. But it put my middle page down to the bottom. I am working on fixing that. Any help would be great. I added the effect it gave on my test site.

    Page layout problem

    I added the width: 750px; to the CSS page but now the middle page that is the content drops down to the bottom of the page. How do I fix this? I know it is a CSS problem but cannot seem to figure it out. Please help. You can view the page at:

    Could it have anything to do with this?
    Code:
        <h3>&nbsp;</h3>
        <p>&nbsp;</p>
        <p>&nbsp;</p>

    It worked in Dreamweaver MX when I deleted the code above. But it still acted the same in the I.E. What else do you think it could be? thank you.

    try clearing your cache in IE (and ff/moz if need be) and try again.
    Stop making things so hard on yourself.

    I cleared my IE and it is still doing it. But I am not sure what you mean by ff/moz. What should I do now? Thank you.

    It's still there. Erase it and upload the new version, unless you want us to guess forever.

    I posted the new html page up and uploaded the new CSS file where I added the width: 750px; and got rid of the other coding, the <h4>;nbsp; so forth. It shows up great in Dreamweaver but not in IE. Thank you.

    Does anyone have any idea?

    Please help. It is driving me crazy. I know it is something small I am missing. I am still new to CSS. Please look at the site. I put in width: 750px; for the body so it would not auto-stretch when someone resizes their page. But now my center content area goes to the bottom. Thank you.

    Remove this from your image hspace="85".
    Code:
    <div id="content">
      <div class="feature">
        <div align="center"><img src="cudaright50.JPG" width="377" height="117" hspace="85" align="middle"> </div>
    Computer, kill Flanders... Did I hear my name? My ears are burning...
    Good start. Now finish the job.
