    text-align:justify

What would cause css text-align:justify to create a horizontal scrollbar where there once was none?
    Thx

It never would... the line width remains the same, it just looks a lot prettier

    Au contrare...heh heh.
But that's exactly what's happening. I take out the justify and the scrollbar disappears...put it back in, and the scrollbar shows back up. So, it's obviously doing something besides making it "pretty"...

I had it posted before but didn't want the search engines to index it. Anyway, maybe it's the frameset.

    No clue...

I can't really put my finger on it, but I saw (in smaller windows) that the window extends even further because of the nobr element around "Sire Properties is a member of...", etc. Maybe the combination of this and text-align: justify causes problems. It's proprietary, anyway...

I also think the header "Sire Properties is a member of the Better Business Bureau" is to blame. The <p>s still have padding between them and the viewport boundaries, so they are not exceeding it and causing the scroll.
Yet you say this was caused by text-align:justify? Weird

I take no responsibility for the above nonsense.

Yep...That's what I'm saying. I took out the <nobr> "Sire Properties is a member"</nobr> bit...no change. Something's adding padding somewhere when changing to text-align:justify from text-align:left. I'm not exactly a newbie anymore but I'm still stumped.
