    Question how do i sort this out ?

    hello, basically im just opening my new site well putting a maintenance page on, but when i place all the files together its just showing the basical html like this >>>> how do i sort this out ?-ndjrsdf.jpg my website contains images, HTML, CSS and JS how do i set it to do what it should im currently using cpanel and the files look like this >>>>> how do i sort this out ?-jri5znt.jpg


    i had help from Adobe Dreamweaver cc just so i could see what it looked like in live time before i uploaded it, as you can see the image below is completely different to whats actually published. >>>>> how do i sort this out ?-q0c6nir.jpg

    Let's start with your css. You've got your file styles.css in your main directory, but your html expects to see it in a directory called "css". Fix that one way or the other, and let's see from there...

    By the way, as "premium web designers", this is a pretty basic mistake.

    im new to this its a work in progress im 15, i know how to code but then uploading is a whole new thing, i cant find another directory do i create one? btw can we pm i do need help like instructions to learn this thing, it would be most appreciated.

    If you want to have a directory called "css" then yes you will need to create it. It's pretty typical to have such directories, maybe one called "images" for photos, etc.

    I don't do PM's, sorry.

    Yes, though keep in mind the names are case sensitive. You've used CSS in uppercase, so make sure your code has that directory in uppercase.
