    CSS and Javascript problem

I have a responsive site that is using media queries to change how the nav shows up. I also have javascript to open and close the nave when the window is the smallest. The problem is, if you use the nav toggle to open or close the nav (javascript display:block|none), then resize the page back to large, the javascript css overrides the media query css.

using media queries you would set the CSS for nav to display:none; No need for JS.
