    html/css

I would like someone to explain to me how I can provide link statements on html page vertically using CSS/HTML

Provided when I click on each link statement several lines of text are shown just below the link statement.

    Thanks

What do you mean by 'link statement'? If it's a link(anchor tag) to another page or another section of this page, then you are moved to the location and what you want is impossible.
If you just want several lines of text shown below a line of text then you need to use javascript. I don't think css has any response to a click. It does have a hover to show info but it disappear as soon as the mouse moves off the text.
