Cannot get text in front of timeline frame

I'm trying to use z-index to get a simple "hello" text in front of the timeline on this page:Frost Dates, When to Plant, and More - Green Thumb Weather

However, by using the "timeline_info" div and setting it to a higher z-index than the "mytimeline" div, hello still gets hidden behind the timeline. Is there another div that's controlling the timeline frame that I'm missing?

    Thanks for any help,

    S

z-index only works on positioned items. Did you use position:relative; on the units in question?

P.S. You have got to start using external files, especially for your javascript. You have one that starts at line 647 and runs to line 2755!!!!!!

Thanks sunfighter. I've ensured these three CSS groups are position:relative...all in timeline_custom.css. (#mytimeline, #timeline_info, and div.timeline-frame (which I think contains the whole thing). I still see "hello" getting stuck behind the timeline. I've attached a firebug image that shows div.timeline-frame as "relative". Any advice how to move closer to a solution? And thanks for the external js suggestion. I really need to do that...hopefully soon!

The javascript code block that starts at line 118 is the culprit.
