    Odd DIV display behavior on initial load (whilst loading)

    I have a DIV with my social media buttons, with multiple in-line divs inside it.

    When my page first loads, they try and appear much lower down the page than when they are rendered, which looks a bit messy.

    once loaded the page 'contracts' and all is well.

    Is there anything I can do about this? I swear it didn't happen before I rejigged it all.

    Only really a problem for an uncached load, or on a mobile device/slow connection.

    The URL is http://www.cg-its.com, best to inspect the code there, as there is CSS applied also.

    Cheers

    Conrad

    Hello ConradGoodman,
    Your site loaded fine for me the first time I viewed it. FF28 and IE11.

    On closer inspection the issue appears to only happen on my mobile phone. Android with Chrome. Odd.

    Anymore input on this? It is a real problem on mobile devices as it pushes all the content down and looks really unprofessional.

    I cured this another way in the end.

    Since the facebook button at least doesn't work on phones and tablets, I hide the div for mobile view.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
    .socialshare { display: none !important; }
    }
