difference of behaviour IE and Chrome

    Hello

The HTML in attachment is behaving differently in IE and Chrome. In chrome it is OK and producing what I expect (round input text area, with round button on the right inside the input text area). In IE the input text is rectangular as well as the button.
Can someone help in figuring out how to get this work in IE as well.

    Thanks

At a minimum, IE needs a doctype as the fist line in the file if you expect IE to render the page in standards mode. I didn't look further than the first line though... The next test is whether the page validates at http://validator.w3.org/

When you said IE, I think you mean IE8 or lower? Those browsers don't support border-radius.

Check the browser support at http://caniuse.com/border-radius

And what tracknut said, you need to specify a doctype. Use HTML5 doctype if you want

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>

In IE9 (and older) everything is showed URL-encoded.
In Chrome, the square brackets are shown URL-encoded.
