    Background duplicates in IE 11

    Hello, i'm currently building my first website. I haven't been studying website development or anything that has to do with computers so if this is a full retard question don't judge. I'm not sure how to explain this problem so you better watch for yourself..

    www.hobolife.net

    Im building a website for me and my friends to upload images and videos and maybe also a "blog". We are traveling europe by bike this summer and we need to have somewhere to publish our trip!

    The thing is that the website looks different on different monitors.. That is the first problem I guess.. I want it to scale so it looks the same on all monitors. Also when I try to open the website in IE 11 everything looks fine until the background has finished loading and then it duplicates on the left side.. Go ahead and try open it for yourself.. I need some help here to prevent these stuff..!

    Hi there Justnotfocus,

    personally, I cannot see any problem with the body "background-image" in IE11.

    In the CSS you have...
    Code:

    body{
        font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
    	font-size: 80%;
    	line-height: 1.4em;
    	width: 100%;
    	margin: 0;
    	background: url("http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7402/9347436378_f8a7592db7_o.jpg");
    	background-repeat:repeat;
    	background-attachment:fixed;
    	background-size:100%;

    }

    You could change that value to "no-repeat".

    But, as the image's dimensions are 5,073px × 3,382px, I don't really see how it could
    repeat when you are using "attachment:fixed".

    Well the reason that im using "background-repeat:repeat;" is because when I watch the website on my iphone I want the background to repeat cause the "background-attachment:fixed;" won't work on the iphone.. Sadly

    Ok, im the big retard I see.. The zoom was on 95% making my background duplicate... But now I've encountered a new problem, or 2 acually.

    First one is: On the "photos" tab i'm using a embedded code from flickr showing a couple of photos.. Take a look at this http://www.hobolife.net/photos.html in chrome browser.. Then try it in ie, firefox and safari.. It's much smaller in all other browsers than in chrome...

    Second one: My background repeats instead of staying fixed.. But only on IE 11...

    Look IE 11: http://i.tinyuploads.com/zeSBV2.jpg

    compared to

    Chrome and firefox: http://i.tinyuploads.com/mVFJ7i.jpg

    Check this out to fix the fixed background issue on mobile browsers.
