    Internet Explorer IE is messing up my PHP site

    I notice that on IE the site doesn't work right but when I check it in chrome it works fine. So I have came to the conclusion that IE is messing up the coding some where but I don't know where its coming from. The link to the page in question is http://proseriesequipment.com if you need me to I can post the coding on here too.

    Visual or functional problem?
    Browser is technically incapable of damaging underlying code. Visual rendering has nothing to do with server side coding; so far this sounds like it'll likely be an issue with the HTML/CSS and not the PHP code.
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');
    Been gone for a few months, and haven't programmed in that long of a time. Meh, I'll wing it ;)

    Your site is a combination of everything from ancient html 3.2 to html 5. IE8 and earlier don't understand html5, and that's likely your problem. There is a "shiv" to make it work though, at http://code.google.com/p/html5shiv/

    I tried the "shiv" but it didn't work. I'm not sure if I'm using the "shiv" right or not.

    Nothing to do with PHP. Moving from PHP to HTML/CSS forum.

    Everything is right except that you changed the conditional to be "less than IE 8", so it would not take effect in IE 8, which is the one you're concerned about. Put it back to "less than IE 9" and it should trigger. Hopefully that's your issue.

    ok it took me some time to fix the validation issues i had there are still like 5 that i dont have a clue whats wrong with them or how to fix them. Even after i fixed the majority of the issues IE 8 is still messing up the site.
