I wrote this page for people in my area to get the best weather information available on the web.
My start page on my computer is almost exactly like that except it has a lot more stuff added to it that I would like to hide on the left side of the page.
I have used position:absolute to hide menus just off screen with a 10px wide div with transparent background to use as a hover point to make them jump back on the screen so I can click on the links.
But I want something a bit more cool. I want them to expand in from the edge of the screen using CSS Transitions to their full size and back again when I'm not hovering it any longer.
I don't know what this is called so I don't know what to search Google for.
Do you know of any existing examples for this?
This the only example I have seen of that effect.
But whatever content you put inside the DIV tag is displayed before the Div is fully extended to the right. This completely ruins the effect I'm looking for.
I set the start font size to 0pt and 10pt on hover. But it is still displayed before the Div is extended.
