    now in my css I added

    Code:
    img.bg {
    	/* Set rules to fill background */
    	min-height: 100%;
    	min-width: 1024px;

    	/* Set up proportionate scaling */
    	width: 100%;
    	height: auto;

    	/* Set up positioning */
    	position: fixed;
    	top: 0;
    	left: 0;
    	z-index: -2;
    }

    div#container {
    	/* This is the only important rule */
    	/* We need our content to show up on top of the background */
    	position: relative;
    }

    #container {
        position:relative;
        width:100%;
        min-width:1100px;
        min-height:100%;
        margin:0;
        padding:0;
    }
    problem is when i try to make a map position wrapper it moves my footer above or it allows the content to scroll the page or it removes the scroll bars

    what i tried to do is set this up in css
    Code:
    #map-position {
        position:fixed;
        top: 600px;
        width: 1179px;
        margin: 0;
        height:550px;
        left: 50%;
        margin-left: -595px;
    	z-index: 1;
    }
    and add a wrapper in my php

    <div id="map-position">
    <div id="map_canvas" style="width:100%; height:550px;"></div>
    </div>

    so what i want is the content to be in a certain location, scroll with the page as if all the content is one single image, as well as stay at its position and move with the page upon resizing
