    Links not working in Firefox

    Hi all,

    Wonder if anyone could help.

Firefox is not recognizing links in my header and left menu - it does recognize links in right menu and footer... can't work out why. Ie reads links no problem.

I've rewritten lots of the code, but nothing makes a difference. Rewrote css link styling, no difference - problem is not with the styling because the cursor doesn't even change into a hand when you scroll over links.

What have I left out or forgotten to close?

    Here is the url:

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello abhainn,
#buffer2 is like an overlay that is covering your links. To see what I mean, add background: #000; to it.
Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    Hi there abhainn,

the use of "position:absolute" for page layouts is always likely to cause problems, as you have discovered.

The solution in this case, is to add a suitable "z-index" value to your "#sidebar" rules.

Brilliant, thank you to both I'll try different things, or get rid of the absolute positionings, and report back.

Thank you very much. I wouldn't have worked that out in a million years.
