    Exclamation Footer Problems

    Hey everyone, I am having a problem that is making me pretty upset. The problem seems like it should be very very easy but has taken me hours of research and still haven't figured it out. My problem is the footer of my website. First of all I want the footer to stick to the bottom of the whole page not just the browser page. I don't know if this is possible. Right now I have a sticky footer that I'mcoping with at this time just until I figure out the other problem. But the sticky footer wont center either. anyways if you have some insight for me, please help. The website is http://ScottReinmuth.com/
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Home - Scott Reinmuth's Web Design Portfolio</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles/style.css" />
    </head>
    <body>

    <center>

    <h1> Scott Reinmuth's Web Design Portfolio </h1>
    <?php require_once('styles/nav.php'); ?>
    <div id="maincontent" class="wrapper">
    <?php
     		$p = $_GET['page'];

    		$page = "pages/".$p.".php";

    		if(file_exists($page))
    			include($page);
    		elseif($p=="")
    			echo "This is Home Page";
    		else
    			echo "what are you looking for! ?";

    	?>
    </div>
    <center>
    <div id="footer">
    <?php require_once('styles/footer.php'); ?>
    </div>
    </center
    </center>

    If you want the footer centered, add this to your footer div:

    width: 100%;
    margin: auto;

    ---

    I don't know what you mean by "First of all I want the footer to stick to the bottom of the whole page not just the browser page." though.

    I also don't know what you mean by sticky footer.
