    Need quick help with css not showing up in Chrome

    I am using a horizontal menu code, and it seems to work just fine with internet explorer. However, when I go into chrome, the bar background that I am using is no where to be seen and it is just linked writing lined up vertically.

    Code:
    #bar
    {
    background-image:url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee451/bravo_ATL284/Auction%20League/bar.png);
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    height:55px;
    width:750px;
    line-height:55px;
    padding-left:20px;
    padding-right:20px;
    }

    #bar .link
    {
    float:left;
    height:54px;
    }

    #bar .link:hover
    {
    background-image:url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee451/bravo_ATL284/Auction%20League/linkrollover.png);
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-position:center;

    }

    #bar a
    {
    font-size:20px;
    font-weight:bold;
    color:#FBFDFB;
    margin-left:27px;
    margin-right:27px;

    }

    #bar a:hover
    {
    color:#999999;
    }

    #bar{
    position:absolute;
    left:0%;
    top:25%;
    }

    a
    {
    text-decoration:none;
    color:#2A2A2A;
    border-bottom:1px dashed #2A2A2A;
    }

    a:hover
    {
    color:#8F8F8F;
    border-bottom:1px dotted #2A2A2A;
    }

    Anybody have a clue at what this could be?
    Thanks

    try reloading the page 3 times in chrome.

    if that doesn't work, try posting the full code or better yet, a live link to your website

    are you running on a web server or just on your computer?

    That is just the external stylesheet. I thought that would be the problem.

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <LINK REL=StyleSheet HREF="http://createordestroyleague.webs.com/page%20one.html" TYPE="text/css" MEDIA=screen>

    <style type="text/css">
    body {background-image:url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee451/bravo_ATL284/AuctionLeagueChatBackground5.jpg);}
    </style>

    <title></title>
    </head>

    <body>

         <div id="bar">
            	<div class="link"><a href="link">name</a></div>
                <div class="link"><a href="link">name</a></div>
                <div class="link"><a href="link">name</a></div>
                <div class="link"><a href="link">name</a></div>
                <div class="link"><a href="link">name</a></div>

          </div>

                    </body>
    </html>
    I just want to have a background, with a menu bar placed just above the middle of it. But the background I am using for the bar will not show up in chrome. I am hosting on code on webs. Sort of a noob on coding. So this could be completely wrong for all I know.

    this is what I see in chrome. If isn't how it is on your comp, try clearing chrome's cache, then reload the page 3 times.

    Ok, no change.

    I do have the link of that page in an iframe on another site. Could that be the case?

    That is what I see when I use chrome.

    I am hosting that page on ESPN. It is in an Iframe.

    Code:
    <LINK REL=StyleSheet HREF="http://createordestroyleague.webs.com/page%20one.html" TYPE="text/css" MEDIA=screen>
    replace with this:

    Code:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://createordestroyleague.webs.com/page%20one.html" type="text/css" media="screen"/>
    I also think chrome has a problem with % in the url, if you're able to change this, that will probably do it. I'm talking about the page%20one part. You should change the name to page20one.html

    Changed the code, still nothing

    I don't think I can change the url. I have no clue what this could be.

    This is the iframe it is in

    Code:
    <iframe src="http://createordestroyleague.webs.com/index.htm" width="670" height="775" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" border="0"></iframe>
    Not sure if that affects anything.
