    Dynamic Textareas

    Alright I've seen these a few places. Gmail being the most common. How does gmail take a textarea and make the font dynamic and all the neat these they do?

    Thanks!

    if you type in :) into a textarea here's the code:

    Code:
    <img src="images/cleardot.gif" onload="_GM_EmoticonHandler(&quot;load&quot;, this)"
    onmouseover="_GM_EmoticonHandler(&quot;mouseover&quot;, this)" width="13" height="12" alt=":)"
    pattern="smile" createtime="1322015453462" iconset="classic"
    style="background-image: url(https://mail.google.com/mail/im/emotisprites/smile0.png); background-position: 0px -132px; " framecount="40">
