    sounds like a homework assignment

    post a link to a live view of the site if you can, otherwise post the full script. I hope everyone on the forum goes slowly on this one so you can understand the reasoning behind the mistakes

Like most UGA students, I'm a diehard fan. I go to every game or sports event I can and love cheering on our Dawgs. Honestly, most of your errors are self explainatory. You have several misplaced <ul> tags. A proper single level list looks like this:

    Code:
    <ul>
        <li>Item 1</li>
        <li>Item 2</li>
    </ul>
    You have a table in your code, but dont have table rows or columns. Just an opening and closing table. No need for that at all. In fact dont use tables at all unless for columnar data.

    Really, you can work through these and fix them yourself. You misspelled style.....there all very straight forward. Fix the ones I listed and if you have trouble, post back with specific questions on specific error messages.

    Validation Output: 5 Errors

    Error Line 21, Column 502: end tag for element "BR" which is not open

    … happy to know that she is planning on transferring here to UGA next year!</br>

    The Validator found an end tag for the above element, but that element is not currently open. This is often caused by a leftover end tag from an element that was removed during editing, or by an implicitly closed element (if you have an error related to an element being used where it is not allowed, this is almost certainly the case). In the latter case this error will disappear as soon as you fix the original problem.

    If this error occurred in a script section of your document, you should probably read this FAQ entry.
    Error Line 45, Column 26: character ";" not allowed in attribute specification list

    <div style= "float:right"; text-align: "center">

    Error Line 47, Column 9: document type does not allow element "CAPTION" here; assuming missing "TABLE" start-tag

    <caption>

    Error Line 52, Column 6: "TABLE" not finished but containing element ended

    </div>

    Error Line 52, Column 6: end tag for "TABLE" omitted, but its declaration does not permit this

    </div>

    You forgot to close a tag, or
    you used something inside this tag that was not allowed, and the validator is complaining that the tag should be closed before such content can be allowed.

    The next message, "start tag was here" points to the particular instance of the tag in question); the positional indicator points to where the validator expected you to close the tag.
    Info Line 47, Column 1: start tag was here

    <caption>

    this is what it is saying

    This passes, but you'll need to style your elements a bit more. Assuming you wanted to float your image to the right. Also, here is a link to add an image caption.

    <p>In the future I am hoping to graduate from UGA and get a job as a medical device sales rep. I want to get married and have a family of my own. I plan to start off in the sales field as an associate and hopefully work my way up to a rep position, just like my cousin and uncle. I am excited to get on with my life after school and be a provider for my family. My dad has always been such a good provider for me and my family, and I hope that I can be half the man he is and has been to me and my family!</p></div>

    This passes, but you'll need to style your elements a bit more. Assuming you wanted to float your image to the right. Also, here is a link to add an image caption.
