    CSS Mess on my hands.

    I am editing a site in Dreamweaver, and I have what appears to be a CSS fiasco. Some how all these CSS elements got a little out of alignment (<.<)
    The web browser and the design view in dreamweaver apparently don't render the same. (-.-)

    If anyone has an idea how I can get these elements lined up that would be awesome.

    Hello ipatch,
    Hate to tell you but you should not rely on DW's design view for anything.

    For us to see what's wrong we would need a link to the test site, some code at the very minimum.
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    I just looked at http://www.gmsdent.com/profile_dar.html

    That page has quite a few problems...

    Typically your site would be wrapped in a containing element that you could center, so all the contained divs could line up off it.

    Instead, that page has a #top-bar that is ap, left: 50%; and margin-left: 441px;
    Then your #background is ap, left: 578px and margin-left: 441px;

    No wonder they don't line up.
