    Image map question . . .

    REF: http://chieftainclothing.com/mockup/inspiration.html

I'm having trouble getting the links in the image map in the main body of the page to work. Can I have more than one image map on a page?

    Any suggestions?

Yes, you may have more than one image map on a page. However, that page doesn't have any image maps on it.

The image I want to make an image map is "inspiration_map.png" I call it out in CSS as a background image for .inspiration . . .

Ah. Well you're going about image mapping all the wrong way. HTML has the nice, handy <map> and <area> tags for that.

Without using image maps at all, you could also simply remove the words from the background image and turn them into clickable links as individual images. Whatever you choose to do, I would recommend against block lists, any type of manual positioning (when possible), and -9000px text indenting (if you wish to hide something, you can use visibility: hidden;).
