    Div tags and mouse overs

I would like to make css effects whereby whatever div tag your hovered over will temporally have an outline around to represent that tag being selected. on mouse out, I would like that border to disappear. If I move from hovering over one div region to another div tag, I'd like it to select that tag, I would only like it to select one tag at a time. The most inner tag.

The idea is I would like to be able to dynamically select div tag areas by mouse over.

    Any ideas?

use javascript otherwise you can set up a hover re-style for every div if you want... you kinda answered your own question though IMO... if you want to use pure CSS set up all the hovers.... if you don't write a javascript (making it "dynamic")... to do the script you (or at least how i would do it) is have everything have a unique id, but share a class... onmouseover restyle the div id, onmouseout "unstyle" it... i am assumeing by your terminology you are somewhat familiar with javascript? (ie onmouseover and onmouseout)

    I code C hash-tag .Net
    Reference: W3C W3CWiki .Net Lib
    Validate: html CSS
    Debug: Chrome FireFox IE
