Really Stupid IE Behaviour... Please Help!

I downloaded this http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/perfect-3-column.htm and started work on it, modifying it to work for my own website. First, I'm previewing in Firefox and all is as expected. Then, I open it up in Internet Explorer and the damn thing is showing all the text as a horrible light blue, instead of black!!!
What the hell is going on here?!

I've scoured the style sheet and cannot find ANY GOOD reason for this. I'm struggling so badly as it is with CSS positioning that I opted to go the easy route use the above template. It seems no matter what I do, always, ALWAYS, with CSS, some stupid problem pops up to throw a spanner in the works!

    Firstly, don't panic

The link you posted looks fine to me in IE, so I suspect you broke something as you modified it. You'd need to post a link to your modified version if you want folks to figure out where you went wrong.

You might also run your page through the validator at http://validator.w3.org/ - it may find the error for you.

Well, isn't it a good job I have a sense of humour...!? And able to laugh at myself... Don't know how it happened but IE colors were set to Windows System colors!

Still, that's pretty weird of IE because I never touched those settings and it was not doing this yesterday!

Thank you Tracknut. Panic over, LOL!
