    I'm having trouble moving a div layer in Wordpress.

    Hello,

    The site I'm working on is http://www.whilemenwatch.com/blog.

    What I am trying to do is align the featured content area with the content underneath it. I've spent about 5 hours trying to get this to work and have intermediate html / css knowledge.

    Here's the code for the featured content:

    #featured-content {
    width: 565px;
    height: 350px;
    }

    I have tried clear:both;, position: etc;, margin-left, margin: 0 auto;, float and other combinations. I'm sure it's the placement and another div layer having the affect, but can't put my finger on it! hah

    Please help?

    Hello anthonyhernande,
    Your http://talentedgraphicdesigner.com/ has no element with the id featured-content and there is no #featured-content in any of your CSS files.

    When you do add a #featured-content, you should be able to style it just like your .post_content and it should line up as long as you have it inside one of your #post_*** elements.

    Did that make sense?
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    Hi, thanks for the quick reply, the url is actually http://whilemenwatch.com/blog (it's a sports site, cross between sex and the city and espn, at least it will be). For a client of course.

    I tried applying the featured-content div within the post elements and it completely threw the site out of wack. It's where I want it to be, but can't seem to move it right within the css. I added align="center" to the actual div tag in the index.php and it moved to where it is now. Just can't seem to move it right enough so it lines up.
