    Absolute positioning in compatibility view

    Hi

I am putting together a template and using a few div tags that have absolut positioning. I have tested it in IE and firefox so far. Everything looks ok except the only problem I have encountered so far is in IE compatibility view the absolute positioning is not rendering.

Can anyone point out where I have gone wrong? Any suggestion would be most appreciated.

The problem is with your stylesheet for IE lt 8. The .smartPhone element is not absolutely positioned at all because IE7 (IE compatibility mode) isn't seeing the style.

Have a look at the css validator results. The problem is that parse error at line 149 - you can see it's trying to parse the start of the .smartPhone element as well.
