    Print screen of my problem

    My problem is two fold;
    a) When the E-Mail comes in it comes in .att form which can not be opened unless I assign a program. I assigned MS Word & I get this: toon=DonaldDuck&toon=ScoobyDoo
    .
    b) I would like it so that it looks like this on seperate lines:
    toon=DonaldDuck
    toon=ScoobyDoo
    Reason is that I have a list of 153 check off items & if they are all in a row it's impossible to understand what the heck I have especially with it comes to numerical information.
    .
    This is the entire code:

    .
    This is the site with selected checkboxes:

    .
    This is what I get in E-Mail:

    .
    I have stumped other forums with this problem.
    I hope I get better results here.

    Not clear who's doing what. Are you sending the email with the html code you posted? Or just receiving it?
    Or are you generating it from an html page and sending it to yourself?
    And assuming the last, what are you doing with the results once you've got them?
    Are these being entered manually somewhere?

    Cancel all that, twigged now. Two solutions:

    1. Quick and dirty, if you're in Word, with toon=DonaldDuck&toon=ScoobyDoo find and replace '&' with a Manual Line Break character.
    2. Better, if your server supports php, send your form to a php email script that formats the data from your form and sends it to you in a html formatted email.

    Are you the only one who will be dealing with these files, or will the general public? They should be opened in Notepad or another plain text editor as they are ASCII coded files. It's certainly possible to convert them to a more human readable and usable format but a lot depends on who is using them and how. It may be needed to send them to a server for processing and have the server send the email.

    Might help for future use:

    Recommend using a server-side script language if your web site allows it. Otherwise, you will have to use a client-side dependent "mailto:" action to get the form info sent to you.

    Your current hosting package MUST allow SMTP ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_...nsfer_Protocol ) to work. Otherwise, no email can be sent.

    You're welcome. Hope they are still good links as I haven't used some of those sites in some time. There are a few that allow you to really customize your form and generates all the code for you. Just follow their instructions for using it.
