    Question Padding does not work in IE7

    Hello all.
    I am trying to get 5 images showing in the footer section, but i can't get the images in the footer section to do equally apart in IE. It works perfectly in Chrome and FF but not in IE. It's as if the padding doesn't have any effect.

    Here is the CSS code:

    Code:
    #footer
    {
    	height:100px;
    	margin:0px auto;
    	text-align:center;
    	width:860px
    }

    #footer img
    {	float:left;
    	padding:0px 85px 0px 0px;
    	display:block;
    }
    Here is the the html code:

    Code:
    <div id="footer">
      <img src="images/Eljosa Bus Eg.png" width="104px" height="88px" />
      <img src="images/Flower eg.png"  width="104px" height="88px" />
      <img src="images/Suzuki outboard decals eg.png"  width="104px" height="88px"  />
      <img src="images/Trailer eg.png"  width="104px" height="88px"  />
      <img style="padding-right:0px" src="images/vinyl rolls.png"  width="104px" height="88px"  />
    </div>
    I saw suggestion on Google about using the "display:block" but that doesn't seem to do anything. The images stay bunched up on the left.

    Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thank you

    Make sure your doctype statement is on the very first line. I would suggest moving the credit part to the bottom of the page to not interfere with anything in the head section.
