    Problem with Fix layout

    hello,

    I have this problem with fixed size layout.

    My layout is 2 column divs. Each is set with min-height and height:auto !important.

    The problem is that, each div is independent one of another. When the content in one div is longer than the other, the result is one div is longer than the other. This can happen because of the dynamic content, some news is longer and need more space.

    I've been setting the maximum word of the news so that the space that it needs is always the same.

    Have other experience this kind of problem? what do you usually do about it?

    Thank you.

    Not sure if this will work.

    Try setting up a wrapper div around both columns, set both columns to height:100%;
    Then on the wrapper div specify a min-height and height:auto !important;

    Tested myself
    Did not work.

    You'd need to use faux columns

    Then you'd need to rely on some javascript. See http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/bl...height-script/
