add new HTML page before my wordpress site?

    Hi All,

    I have a wordpress website at www.kitwebster.com.au that I got from www.press75.com

I want people to go to a very simple HTML page and click on it to get to my site.

Would this be a hard thing to do?

    thanks.

You could install the wordpress inside a sub-folder instead of the root folder and thus you may add a simple html page in the root folder and a link to the wordpress home inside it.

Or, just make a custom template and apply it ti your wordpress home page. Read http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Cre...Page_Templates

    Hi thanks for that.

I tried moving everything into a folder and making a new index.html in a directory above the wordpress folder. I put in an image and linked it to the folder but when I went to test it it somehow skips it and tries to go to the wordpress one but its all messed up and just shows links from the page.
