    dropdown menu alignment

    how do i get the dropdown menu at the top of this page (http://willowbilliards.com/?page_id=4) that appears when you hover over "LEAGUES" to appear directly below the word "LEAGUES" and not off to the left?

    Hello sixrfan,
    You have your dropped menu absolutely positioned. That can easily be moved by changing your top/left coordinates...
    You style it from two different places in your CSS which is kind of a pet peeve of mine. These two in red could be combined and cleaned up:
    Code:
    #dropmenu {margin:0; padding:0; list-style-type:none; list-style-position:outside; position:relative; line-height:1.5em; z-index:300; background:#fff; width:100%; font-weight:bold;}
    #dropmenu ul {
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    list-style-type:none;
    list-style-position:outside;
    position:relative;
    line-height:1.5em;
    z-index:300;
     background:#888;
    width:100%;
    font-weight:bold;
    }
    #dropmenu a {display:block; padding:0.25em 1em; color:#fff; text-decoration:underline;}
    #dropmenu a:hover {color:#fff;}
    #dropmenu li {float:left; font-size:18px; padding-right:10px;}
    #dropmenu ul {
    position:absolute;
    display:none;
    width:20em;
    top:1.9em;
    left:-1px;
    }
    #dropmenu ul a {border-left:1px solid #c8c8c8;}
    And your drop might work better like this -
    Code:
    #dropmenu ul {
    position:absolute;
    display:none;
    width:20em;
    top:28px;
    left:270px;
    }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
