    The following works in FireFox but not in IE 8

    is there a fix for this?

    Code:
    .tmenu:hover { FONT-SIZE:12px; COLOR:#7ed1fc !important; FONT-FAMILY:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; TEXT-DECORATION: blink !important; font-weight: bold; }

    For IE users you have to add some large red text at the top of the page telling them to open and close their eyes very quickly to simulate the same effect. It is called the "blinking waste of time hack".
