    layout

    please look at this link

    http://sudhakargolakaram.co.in/files/layout

    the design for this is at http://sudhakargolakaram.co.in/files...inaldesign.jpg

    my question is the layout is being pushed away from the left side when i resize the browser the screen shot for this is located at
    http://sudhakargolakaram.co.in/files/layout/layout.jpg

    there is a question mark in this image and this is what i am referring to about the layout moving away from the left side

    when i view the page on 1600 wide screen it looks normal this is a center layout and the wrapper div is 884px

    between 1200px wide and greater than this value of screen width the content appears as per the design when i reduce the screen width from 110px and below the left edge of the content is being pushed away

    should i change the css or html to fix this. i guess at 900px also the layout should not be disturbed as the wrapper is 884px

    please advice as to how i should go about fixing this

    thanks.

    it looks like you might need center your content div with margins.

    .contentbgouter {
    margin:0 auto;
    }

    Hello sudhakaraog,
    Add something visual like a border to show you how .contentbg is acting on resize of your browser.
    Like this -
    Code:
    .contentbg {
    	float: left;
    	width: 1136px;
    	background: url(../images/gradientbg.png) no-repeat top left;
    	margin-top: 0px;
    border: 1px solid #f00;
    }
    Now, when you resize, you can see that #topbg is different than .contentbg. If you wrap both in the same container, then they can act the same.

    Looks like you might need to re-think the basic structure of your layout.
