    IE8 HTML Parsing Error

    This is my site: http://www.smartplanetnow.com
Its works well on Chrome and Firefox but on IE8 it omits the whole right side with this error:

    Code:
    Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; Tablet PC 2.0)
    Timestamp: Thu, 15 Apr 2010 14:34:32 UTC

Message: HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917)
    Line: 0
    Char: 0
    Code: 0
    URI: http://www.smartplanetnow.com/
I validated the site with W3 Css Validator and it said "Congratulations! No Error Found."

    Any advise?

    Are you sure?

It loads fine here too Snitz, with some minor variations from browser to browser:

IE8 is not showing the entire images of the flags next to the search box
IE7 Latest Videos section has some float drop
IE8, IE7 both underline the text under the Smart Planet thumbnails where FF does not

All pretty small differences that I don't think would matter much.

A few things to fix that may or may not help.
Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
