problem with window out of alignment only on select MAC browsers

i posted something about this problem yesterday I believe but I've made a lot more progress towards ruling out what the problem *isn't* since and I haven't been able to locate the old post to add to it so sorry for any redundancy.

I have an issue with select Macintosh browsers displaying this page here like you see in the screenshot attached to this post.

The page is validated in terms of XHTML and CSS, which was recommended I do first because I've heard that when you have troubles with pages in only certain browsers it's best to begin with validation.

This page displays fine in these browsers:

PC versions of FF, IE, Opera, Chrome, Safari

and in the MAC version of Chrome.

But does *not* display properly in these browsers:

MAC versions of FF and Safari.

    Any ideas?

Iím sorry but I fail to see whatís the issue. The page displays exactly the same in all my Mac bowsers apart from the fact that you havenít specfied a text color and the text looks grayish in my Firefox and is therefore barely readable.

But everything but the text and the JS stuff on this page is static images anyway (put inside a table *shudder*) so whatís the problem?

if the page doesn't look like the screenshot in any of your browsers (reffering to the javascript news ticker with white background) then I may need to troubleshoot my friend's version of safari on his MAC. Thanks for providing the information about your system.
