    Help me please!

    Alright guys... This is my website www.thepriceoflust.com ... I have spent hours on coding this thing so please keep negative comments to a minimum until after I have fixed this issue... Any way on the index page you will see a featured members section... I cannot figure out for the freaking life of me how to make the pictures go into rows instead of having one on each line... I am using Dreamweaver and am having no success... The coding can be found below... Now for the reward... If someone on this forum helps me out with this issue and is able to take care of one or two more small things on this site and agrees that I can count on them to be my "goto-get-help" guy, I am going to be cutting you in on the profits of this site.... Every month you will be making money... Thanks for the help in advance...

    PHP Code:
    <!--[If Start $en['loops_index'] == 1]-->
                      <
    div class="featured-profiles">
                         <
    h2><%_featured_profiles%></h2>
                <!--[If
    End]-->
                <
    span class="photo">
                    <
    a href='<%dir%>view/<%m_user%>.html'><b>
                    <%
    m_user%> <br <br />
                    </
    b></a><img src='<%dir%>images/thumbnails/<%m_id%>-<%i_id%>.jpg' border=0>
                    </
    a>
                    <
    br class="clearfloat" />
                </
    span>
                <!--[If
    Start $en['loops_left'] == 0]-->
                    <
    br class="clearfloat" />
    <!--
    #end featured-profiles --></div>

    <!--[If End]-->
            <!--[
    Loop End]-->
    <!--[
    Loop End]-->
    <!--
    #end featured-profiles -->

    Hello thepriceoflust,
    Add this first and see if that's what your looking for. Not sure I've got the right members section. -
    Code:
    .photo {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 5px;
    }

    You have this in your CSS right now -
    Code:
    #wide-column .additional-photos .photo {
    	float: left;
    	display: block;
    	width: 73px;
    	padding: 10px;
    }
    I'm not sure that shouldn't be separated. If this works, use it in place of the first snippet I quoted you (notice how I separated each element with a comma) -
    Code:
    #wide-column, .additional-photos, .photo {
    	float: left;
    	display: block;
    	width: 73px;
    	padding: 10px;
    }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    I know that I am going to be sounding like a complete newb here but were do I add that snippet to? Also the coding that I provided is only for the featured profiles section... If you look on the website then you will see what I am talking about... It is the section in the middle of the page...

    Attached is a screen shot of the problem section in dreamweaver

    Add it to the bottom of your CSS file named style.css

    Use this one -
    Code:
    .photo {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 5px;
    }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE

    WOW... That almost did the trick... The only issue that I have with it is this... If you are on the index page and you refresh the page a few times you will see the pictures obviously move around and are automatically randomized... Now being that the pictures are different sizes is messes up the allignment... Is there anything you can do about that?

    Wow, I've never seen that before!
    My mistake probably though. To float something, you have give it a width. When we apply a float:left; to all the class .photo ... well, maybe this works better -
    Code:
    .photo {
    width: 100px;
    float: left;
    }

    Add a height to it too, like this -
    Code:
    .photo {
    height: 120px;
    width: 100px;
    float: left;
    }

    Right on the money.... Now the only thing left is to get those little names on the top of the photos centered...

    Ok... I have one more thing for you and then I will leave you alone for tonight... The script on this website is setup so that for each type of user (ie. Man, Women, Celeb etc...) you create, the front page will automatically create a Featured members section for it. I would like my featured members section to say Featured Members: Man Featured Members: Women Featured Members: Celebs and so on.... Is there anyway I can change the name of those sections?

    I have another for you guys... On the index page I am trying to get the banner, (middle section of the page that rotates through photos,) to be centered. Right now it is a little bit off to the left side...

    Make these changes to your CSS - highlighted in red
    Code:
    /* end leftbar */

    /* begin middle-column */

    #middle-column {
    	margin: 0 4px 0 4px;
    	float: left;
    	width: 465px;
    }

    #middle-column ul li {
    	line-height: 20px;
    }

    #middle-column a {
    	color: #0069BC;
    }

    #middle-column .intro {
    	background: #F4F4F4 url(images/about-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
    	padding: 10px;
    }

    #middle-column .banner {
    	width: 400px;
    	height: 265px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    }

    #middle-column .about {
    	border-top: solid 10px #EBEBEB;
    	background: #F4F4F4 url(images/about-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
    	padding: 10px;
    }

    #middle-column .news {
    	background: #D6D6D6 url(images/news-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
    	padding: 10px;
    }

    Hmm, I never noticed the rep button till now. I've always used the "Thank user for this..." button on the lower right.
