    IE Comapatability View

I find IE Comapatability View is very useful but it only seems to be active on online content, is there a way to trick it to work for off line stuff?

    Hello AttilaB,
You can toggle compatibility view for local pages from the web developer toolbar. In IE7 this was a separate download but it's included in IE8 (I'm pretty sure...).

You can reach it via F12 or Tools/Developer Tools.
Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
