Suckerfish Dropdown Menu IE Issue

I am having some trouble with a Suckerfish Dropdown menu located on this page:

http://goldenhillschurch.cmcconnell.com/index.html

It works great in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer the dropdown items usually "freeze" (see screenshot) when you hover over them. Not all the time, but just about. I copied the IE fix from the Suckerfish website, which made the menu dropdown items display on the page in IE, but now I have this freezing problem.

Any help?

I'm not sure if your CDATA stuff is OK.

Here's mine:
Code:

now I'm off to check your css. I had the same problem in IE6 about 2 years back and I think it was caused by the js not being correct.

The freezing issue could be fixed by adding some background to your sub menu
or at least
Code:
#nav li ul {/*nav_styles.css (line 12)*/
background:none;
left:-999em;
position:absolute;
width:10em;
}
btw, for me, your menu is broken in IE6.

Suckerfish horizontal drop-down menu freezes in IE7

I tried the two solutions given, but I also still have the problem of the drop-down menus from a horizontal navigation freezing in IE7. It works fine in IE8 and the other browsers. Here is a page I've been testing: http://www.vettevendors.com/test/homepage_termite.html

Please ignore the left-hand vertical navigation - it's leftover from when I was working on that part.

I don't want the main categories, such as "C1 Parts 1953-62," "C2 Parts 1963-67," etc. to link to another page, so the a links are coded as . If I change "#" to an actual link, such as "http://www.vettevendors.com/test/homepage_termite.html", then the drop-down boxes no longer freeze. For some reason, the code has to have a valid link. You can see the freezing of the drop-downs when you click on the main categories.

I hope someone has a solution. Thanks!

Solution Found

I found the solution. For just IE7, I included the following:

#menu li:hover, #menu li.hover {
position: static;
}

I found the solution at this source:
