    Positioning help

    Have been trying to design a new layout for a personal webpage but i can't get the 'footer' down to the bottom of the page. It is at the moment hiding behind boxes 1 and 2. You can see the layout by following the link: HERE! Would someone tell me what i have done wrong or not done please.

    I haven't used a doctype because the webpage is only for practice at the moment.

    Thanks for any and all help.

    this is caused by your floating elements.
    A quick solution is to clear the floating directive before the footer that is not floating.

    Code:
    <div id="wrapper">
        <div id="piccie1">Box 1</div>
        <div id="contents">Box 2</div>
        <div id="piccie2">Box 3</div>
        <div id="piccie3">Box 4</div>
        <div style='clear:both;'></div>
        <div id="footer">Box 5</div>
    </div>
