    Exclamation Sticky Footer

MY Question, is there an alternative to sticky footers?

I have used the CSS styles to apply a sticky footer to my pages and I thought that it was working for me but I realize now that it is not working for any of my pages. What is going on is that for those that appear to be working right the footer is going to the bottom because the pages have enough content on them. But for those that don't the footer is ending up at the bottom of where my content ends.

example of page not working right, http://robinsden.co.cc/free/gasmoney.php

and here is and example of one where there is not enough content on the page giving the appearnce that it is working.

I know that the sticky footer is not working because I used the same page to create both pages.

    Thanks for any help.

How then is one page validate code and the other not?

in ie6, I see the issue where you have a blue advert down the left side. On the other page, the advert across the bottom, sits beneath the page so that you can only see half of it.

in ie6, the js is throwing an error. not sure what it means or how to fix it. in FF3.0.10 both pages display simialrly, as far as I can tell.

Just to clarify, is the footer you mentionm the horizontal links across the bottom of the page?

I was not aware there where errors on the pages. I'll see what I can do to fix them, but is there an alternitive to get my footer to stay pined to the very bottom of the page.

I now have a solution to get it to the bottom but it's only dispaying half of the footer.

here is the page I got it working on but with my new problem.

which browser are you testing in? previously it was fine in FF and so a tweak was what would be needed for IE. Now it is broken in FF and seems to work in ie which means, likely, it is less correct now. always better to test in ff/safari and others before then tweaking for IE*.

Please clarify what you mean by 'sticky footer'.

    1. Is it meant to be at the bottom of the screen no matter the length of the page or,

    2. Is it meant to be at the bottom of the page no matter its length.

imv 2 is better and it seems to be how you had it but for the tall blue advert on one of those pages. fixing it should be fairly straightforward.
