    Question Can't get menu to look correct

    My testing page is
    http://robinsden.co.cc/hobbies/jokes/careful_monkey.php

    The CSS Sheet is

    http://robinsden.co.cc/menuscripts/ddsmoothmenu.css

    The part of the script where I think the problem exists is.

    .ddsmoothmenu{
    font: bold 12px Verdana;
    background-image:url(../Images/menu.gif); /*background of menu bar (default state)*/
    width: 100%;
    }

    Maybe I'm not refuring to the image correctly? I don't really know?

    What I am trying to do is to make the background of my menu continue accross the page like my old menu. Example,
    http://robinsden.co.cc/hobbies/poems/pandabear.php

    The reason I'm changing menus is because of compatabilite issues.

    Thanks for any help.

    Try posting the web address like this:

    Code:
    .ddsmoothmenu{
    font: bold 12px Verdana;
    background-image:url(http://robinsden.co.cc/Images/menu.gif); /*background of menu bar (default state)*/
    width: 100%;
    }
    I could be wrong, but I believe you need the full URL to link an image like that.

    Never mind I got, I had to add a hight: 31px code to it to make it work.

    I tried that but still... It's dose not seem to be working. This problem seems to be very misterous.

    I can't figure out why it won't work, every thing says it should work but still yet it dose not.

    sorry, i missed a part. you need to tell it to repeat the image also. see addition in red.
    Code:
    .ddsmoothmenu{
    font: bold 12px Verdana;
    background-image:url(http://robinsden.co.cc/Images/menu.gif) repeat-x 0 0;
    width: 100%;
    }

    I hope you are aware that your menu only works if people has js switched on. I do not and (except when testing my stuff or others'), I won't switch it on.

    So your js menu is not compatible and I would recommend suckerfish instead. doesn not need js in ff or > ie7.

    I should of course have said it correctly.
