FOUC and AOL is not loading

    Hi.

I am helping a friend out with his website. I am more of a creative designer than a programmer, and an absolute CSS novice myself. The site is based on frames and some flash files. I know that's not great, but that's how he wants it....

    The site http://www.billstrongphotography.com

Now, when you click on the picture links, the main frame shows the white "flash of unstyled content". Not in Firefox, but definitely in Safari, and some links in IE.

Another big problem: When you try to view the site in AOL Browser, it takes minutes to start working, and often it doesn't load at all.

I need the site to be cleaned up enough to get rid of the FOUC and for AOL to open it without problem.

I have posted in other forums for the last three weeks, and the help is great, but to be honest, I am just not good (or smart) enough to do it myself. I don't know anything about CSS stylesheets etc.
My friend is willing to pay for any help. Does anyone know where to find somebody who can clean up the site for cheap? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The first thing I’ll have to ask is: Why is there a meta refresh at all in the beginning? Is this just for the counter or what?

Now please tell us what exactly isn’t loading in AOL? The entire site? Just the center frame? Or even just the flash object in the cernter frame? Or is it maybe even failing on the entry page (the one with teh redirect)?

    Dear VIPStephan

Thank you so much for your reply!

Yeah, you're right, the redirect was just for a stupid counter, but my friend was really stubborn about keep it. But after your reply, I downloaded AOL on my computer and checked the problem myself (until now I took my friend's word for it...) and realized that the only problem on AOL was that counter redirect.

I took it off, and AOL was working fine. Finally, my friend was convinced (or rather over-ruled...)

So the only problem persisting is the FOUC.

I already changed all background to black, to no avail...

Thank you for your help, though!
