    displaying result

    Hi,

    I have a form, 3 text boxes and a button.

    User is required to enter the data in two text box and hit the generate button. Program generates the key using the input data in both the fields.

    Now Instead of using a text box for generated key, all I want display the result so that end-user can copy the data.

    I can disable the textbox from any inputs but generated key cannot be copied by using this.

    Is there any other alternate way to do this?
    Please help!

    Code:
    <FORM name=f action="javascript:update()">
    <TABLE>
      <TBODY>
      <TR>
        <TD>Website:</TD>
        <TD><INPUT name=parameter style="font-family: monospace"></TD>
      </TR>

      <TR>
        <TD>Master Password:</TD>
        <TD><INPUT type=password name=seed  style="font-family: monospace"></TD>
      </TR>

      <TR>
        <TD colSpan=2>
          <HR>
        </TD>
      </TR>

      <TR>
        <TD>Generated Password:</TD>
        <TD><INPUT name=result size="30" style="font-family: monospace"> <INPUT onclick=update() type=submit value=Generate></TD>
      </TR>

      </TBODY>
    </TABLE>
    </FORM>

    Just drop those input elements and then show the data directly inside the table cells or use some elements like <span>
