    Padding and font weight in a table...i hate tables

    I am doing a table(which I hate) I have a few cells that need to be a title cell, i have added a style to that particular cell (<td>) with some padding and font weight but it isnt working in firefox. What can I do to make it compatible for both?

    Whats not working? Styling the <td>? If thats the case create a div inside the td and style that there.

    Why not try to use <th> for the cell headings? That should make them bolder by default.

    Do you have code to show? Maybe you typed something incorrectly...

    <tr>
    <td>&nbsp;</td>
    <td class="downloadTitles ">II. ABOUT OUR REHAB</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>&nbsp;</td>
    <td class="downloadTitles">Travel Information and Directions </td>
    </tr>

    CSS:
    .downloadTitles{
    padding-bottom:15px;
    padding-top:15px;
    font-weight:800;
    }

    just a warning, Im still learning about CSS so bare with me. Thanks for such a quick reply!

    OK, the problem is probably due to the difference in the default settings of your browsers(font-size and font-family). So try
    Code:
    .downloadTitles{
    padding-bottom:15px;
    padding-top:15px;
    font-weight:800;
    font-size:16px;
    font-family:Verdana;
    }
    Edit: Or let them to be inherited from a parent element like
    Code:
    body{
    font-size:16px;
    font-family:Verdana;
    }
    .downloadTitles{
    padding-bottom:15px;
    padding-top:15px;
    font-weight:800;
    }
