    Marquee Can loading be hidden?

    At http://www.scorn-war.com/new/roster.html

    You can see where the marquee in the upper right section loads outside of the div covered some of the content div.

    Is there a way to stop this from happening?

    It is only a moment or two, but rather annoying. Thanks for any info,
    Josh

    Edit: After further review, this does not occur in IE6 or less. It does in FF.

    That marquee generates a lot of errors. http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...%2Froster.html Maybe roll back to an older, less strict DocType?
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

    Try using this for the div that contains the marquee.

    Code:
    <div style="float: left;width: 1000px; height: 175px;overflow:hidden;">
    Set the width and height to the size of the marquee.
