    css list menu

i am using css to make a navigation menu out of an unordered list, everything works fine, but the list items are all different widths, is there a way to make their widths the same? i have tried to set the width property, but that doesn't work, and as the items are all links, i have also tried changing the width of the link, but this doesn't work either. the code i used can be seen at http://www.456bereastreet.com/archiv...avigation_bar/

    thanks

<a> is an inline element and thus it doesn't support width property.
Just add display:block; in to your CSS for them and then set appropriate width.
