    CSS Cross Browser Problems

    This is killing me.

    I have H1 defined in my css as:

    h1 {
    color: #e61818;
    font-weight: strong;
    font-family: verdana;
    font-size: 12pt;
    padding-left: 10px;

    Works great in both IE and Firefox.

    Then I add this css menu:

    padding: 3px 0;
    margin-left: 0;
    font: bold 12px Verdana;
    border-bottom: 1px solid black;
    list-style-type: none;
    text-align: center; /*set to left, center, or right to align the menu as desired*/

    .basictab li{
    display: inline;
    margin: 0;

    .basictab li a{
    text-decoration: none;
    padding: 3px 7px;
    margin-right: 3px;
    border: 1px solid black;
    border-bottom: none;
    background-color: #ffffff;
    color: #000000;

    .basictab li a:visited{
    color: #2d2b2b;

    .basictab li a:hover{
    background-color: #90bade;
    color: black;

    .basictab li a:active{
    color: black;

    .basictab li.selected a{ /*selected tab effect*/
    position: relative;
    top: 1px;
    padding-top: 4px;
    background-color: #DBFF6C;
    color: black;

    And all of a sudden the H1 takes a dump in IE. Also. The horizontal menu doesn't show correctly in IE - there is no border on the top of the tabs. It displays perfect in Firefox.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Does what?

    Without the relevant html the css is meaningless.
