    Wordpress question about the location of one file

    I have this line being inserted:

    Code:
    <link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="http://whatever.net/xmlrpc.php?rsd" />
    I can not seem to find the file or the location of the code inserting that line of code. I am coding in 4.01 strict and the trailing / is killing validation. Anyone know where I should be looking.

    I have checked the codex but it seems most people just stick with xhtml transitional so it's never been an issue, thus no results.

    close yeah. somehow I didnt find this post last night:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/114256

    The code you speak of is generated by a function called rsd_link() in /wp-includes/general-template.php and then added to the header using an action in /wp-includes/default-filters.php (line 159 for wp 2.2.1).
    thanks though

    This is something I find a bit annoying about WP. That one isn't able to completely control what code is generated via the theme. Some of the core files generate code too and although you can just edit it, this is gonna be a problem next time you update WP.
