    Exclamation Satisfactory in IE and Opera but not in Firefox. NOW SORTED.

    The url in my signature displays as I want it to in IE7 and Opera, but the two Valid icons are too low in Firefox. The two pictures of my office are "botpics 1 and 2" in the CSS. The Valids are so named.

    Not desperate, but I would like to get it right. I have tried juggling the various float and display options but I still cannot get it the same.

    Firefox is actually displaying the validation images correctly. You told them to clear:both and that is what they are doing. Clear:both shouldn't allow anything next to it on both the right and left sides. To do what you want you need to clear your links
    http://positioniseverything.net/easyclearing.html

    Then you can use this
    Code:
    #valids {
      display: block;
      margin:130px auto 0;
      width: 176px;
    }

    Aero,

    I have done what I think that you mean. But I am certainly NOT afloat in this.
    It is now usable in all three but Opera now has the valids low down.
    I thought that the links had always been cleared. But again I am probably mis-reading you.
    I'm afraid it goes with the age.
    I'm well past my sell-by date.

    Perhaps but your link doesn't seem to work anymore.

    It's OK now. They must have been down.

    Use the technique here on the div with id="body" and it will be fine.

    Also you should validate again. You have some errors, nothing too major though.

    Fingers crossed!

    You did but you implemented the technique incorrectly. This is wrong
    Code:
    <div id="body" .clearfix>
    It should be
    Code:
    <div id="body" class="clearfix">
    Actually again validating your code would have told you this

    Corrected. Sorry about the validation.
    It's been a long day and it's just eight minutes to midnight. I need another cup of coffee.

    Thank you for all your patience. I really do appreciate it.
