    how do i create a log in page using html?

    Im just learning html, i dont have a server so my page isnt online. Im just making myself a personal homepage with links and what ever else i need on it. It will be ran from file:///c:/....... anyways i want to protect it. theres not really any point to it other than i think it will be cool to have and it help my learning process. I dont know if its possible but i want to create a login page for the homepage im creating

    You'll need to dive in deeper and learn some scripting, such as Javascript or a server-side language as PHP. Since you're running this locally you'd need to install some sort of webserver on your machine.

    HTML is only a markup language and doesn't do any kind of behavior without integrating with a script of some kind.
