    Problems with Height in CSS

    Hello and thanks for reading - could really use some help right now.
    Have been doing a page on my Mac, looks great of course in Mozilla but in IE on mac and PC there is some extra space, I tried to get rid of it by specifying height but no luck --

    My CSS file snippet is:

    .navigation {
    vertical-align:top;
    background:black;
    height:100px;}

    My php snippet is:

    <td class="navigation"> <!-- Logo/Navigation -->
    <?php include("nav.php"); ?>
    </td>

    [yes, I'm using a table, does that mean you'll disown me?]

    Even in IE this loads fine on some pages, and on others there is a varying amount of black space below.

    Any ideas???
    Thanks SO much! --

    Hi! Thanks. So, here is my include:

    <table align=center>

    <tr>

    <td><!-- this is the logo, which is also a link back to home-->

    <center><a href="index.php"> <img src="/images/toplogo.gif" alt="BroadwayFest Logo" border="0"/></a></center>
    </td>

    </tr>

    <tr>
    <td><!-- this holds our nav bar-->
    <?php include("fireworksnav.htm"); ?>

    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    And the other include, the fireworksnav.htm, is a huge monster generated by Fireworks. The thing that baffles me the most is that this is a shell for about 5 pages, and on some they load up nice and on others (in IE) there is ugly space under my nav before the next cell.

    You might try eliminating all whitespace in your html where IE is messing things up. For whatever reason IE sometimes adds visual space there.
