    Frame disappering when clicked on the link

    I hav a frameset with 3 frames(1 horizontal at the top & below dat 2 vertical frames of size 80:20).If i click a link on the left vertical frame the contents of the link should be displayed on the right side AS WELL AS THE TOP FRAME SHOULD DISAPPEAR OR SHOULD RESIZE.Can someone tel me the HTML code or atleast direct me w.r.t Dreamweaver

    its a basic frameset window wit 2 cols & 1 row at the top....the home page has a image at the top frame. wen i click on a link the image should dissapear or hide so dat i've enough space for other data...(i want the image to be displayed only in the home page)

    Sorry if that’s not the most helpful reply but: don’t use frames! Framesets are old fashioned, out of date, and deprecated, and are among the worst things you can do in today’s web development. Write current and semantic code and style it with CSS. This will save you a lot of work in the end and make the visitors of your site less annoyed.

    Scrapping the frame approach means that you have two (or more) HTML pages. One page with the image and one (or more) page(s) without the image that have room for other content. Then if you click on a link on the first page you link to the other page(s) without the image. That’s how it works.
