Background confusion between IE7 and FF

OK...here's the deal. I'm a noob, I'm building a website in Dreamweaver and everything was going fine until now.

When I have my site up in IE7 the background image shows through the table cells. As far as I can tell I chose white for the table color but the image shows through. What's weird is that I didn't get that problem until recently. When I pull it up in FF it looks fine (table with white background and background picture filling up the rest of the page).

    Can anyone help? THANKS

Here's the address to my site www.tomorrows-success.com

PS - Am I allowed to post these kind of questions in this forum? This is kind of more of a Dreamweaver question than a "Coding" question.

How can we help if you haven't posted any code or much less a link?

You first need to validate your code. I see some issues that may cause problems such as incomplete tags.

Are you aware that your page is rendered in quirks mode because you have an incomplete document type?

This one may be the right one for you:
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

Thanks Koyama...worked perfectly. Had no idea I was in quirks mode...this is a first time run for me at web dev with Dreamweaver.

Here's another noob one for ya'...when you said validate in your previous reply do you mean "proofread my code" or is there some sort of "validation" process I could run (similar to how C++ has an error-check program that you run)?

    Thx Koyama

To validate code, check the links in my sig below. You can also goto http://www.validome.org/.

There's lots others too... you can google to find them if you want.
Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
